Description

A Concierge experiment is used particularly in the early stages of a startup or a new product development. The idea is to manually deliver the service or product to the customer, mimicking the process that the final product would automate. This approach allows businesses to validate their assumptions about the problem they’re solving, the solution they’re offering, and the market they’re targeting before investing heavily in product development.

In a Concierge experiment, the team interacts directly with potential customers, guiding them through the proposed product or service. This could be done in various environments where potential customers can be found, such as coffee shops, bookstores, or even within the existing user base. The team pitches the hypothetical product to these individuals, either like a sales pitch or more granularly like a guided tour through the experience. The responses gathered from these interactions are then used to determine the potential success or failure of the product.
