This business experiment is the more nimble cousin of the Feature Stub. By placing a link or a button within a product that leads to a 404 page, organizations can measure user interest and desirability for a potential product or feature.

While you can skip most development efforts by just adding a defunct button or link, organizations must be wary to not disappoint existing users.
